Organic Topsoil

No chemicals are added to our 100% organic topsoil. We also offer a mixture of our compost and topsoil to use as soil mix. Planter box mix, potting soil mix and any custom mix are also available upon request. We can take on any special request you may have.

Decorative Bark

Whittier Fertilizer sells all types of decorative bark including: Small Bark, Medium Bark, Large Bark, Shredded Bark, Walk On Bark, Mini Nuggets, Red Dyed Bark and Gorilla Hair Bark. Only four of these bark products differ in size. Bark can be used to help cover mulching needs and it also adds a pleasing look to the eye. Use our bark to ensure you get the exact look for you desire.

Organic Sod

In order to have a beautiful, lush, green lawn with no brown or bare spots, you need organic sod. Whittier Fertilizer provides you with three different types of sod to choose from, each one having different purposes, but will without a doubt do the best job. Using organic sod helps prevent the use of chemicals.

Organic Fertilizer

Fertilizer is a main requirement when trying to help something grow. It gives your plants extra nutrients that can promote fast and healthy growth.  Just combine topsoil and/or sand with our organic fertilizer and you will have a ready to plant soil or planter mix.

Organic Compost

Whittier Fertilizer is equipped with Superior Brand organic compost that is made up of shavings, nitrolized redwood and fir sawdust. In addition to other wood and organic materials that goes through a screening process for uniform consistency. Compost is used in the early spring or late fall each time you plant as a soil amendment. As it decomposes, the soil becomes more nutrient rich providing a better health for your plants.

Recycled Cover Mulch

This product contains a combination of green waste (mostly tree trimmings) and clean waste lumber. The cover mulch is ground, piled and aged, then ground again to a size of approximately 3”. After passing thru a 6’ x 16’ trammel screen, most all of the fines, 5/8” or less, are removed. The mulch is then piled until shipped.

Playground Wood Chips

Playground wood chips are a low cost option for playgrounds while keeping excellent safety standards. It is made up of organic shredded hardwood without any twigs to reduce the risk of children getting scratched.
