There will simply not be enough loose soil for gravity to do its drainage job, and there will not be enough nutrients in your soil for your plants to thrive. After all, a flower pot is only as beautiful as the nutrients the soil can provide.

Our planter mix is made from only the finest soils and other potting materials. Additionally, we make sure to keep our planter mix pH balanced so that you will experience beautiful growth in your pots, window boxes, and beds. Perfect for amateur gardeners, our planter mix can accommodate seedlings and saplings, but you can also grow from your own seeds in this mix. Whatever you are looking to grow, our planter mix will help you make it beautiful!

The Secret Is In the Planter Mix

While we are not going to tell you exactly what is in our special planter mix, we can tell you that it is made from a proprietary combination of organic materials including:

  • Sphagnum peat moss
  • Aged forest products
  • Perlite
  • Vermiculite
  • Organic Matter

We mix our planter mix to ensure consistency across all batches and we stand by our mix’s draining and nutritive properties. For all purpose home gardening, Whittier Planter Mix is the way to go!

Buy a Little Or a Lot

Because we make sure that our planter mix is consistent across all batches, you do not need to buy in bulk. In fact, we sell bags as small as 1½ cubic feet for small potting projects. If you need more than that, don’t worry about doing the math! Give us a call! We are more than happy to work with you on any sized project. All you need to tell us is the dimensions of your beds or window boxes.

    Is your planter mix suitable for very large commercial planters (40-100 cubic feet)? Will it be stable enough for small trees in those containers?

      Mark, the only way you can use planter mix is if you have enough top soil on site to mix with planter mix

      WFC has a Planter Box Mix that you use (Planter Mix Sand & Top Soil) that you can use in containers
